In a world gone, “Tax Mad”, we declare freedom from the financial oppression that high taxes have on a business. We aim to provide the American entrepreneur with a simplified and easy-to-execute solution for tax savings. Our mantra is, “Friends don’t let friends overpay the government”, and we take that very seriously.
Our vision is to have our name, MAKE TAXES FAIR, be the battle cry of the American entrepreneur. Where there is complexity in the tax code we will teach simplicity and where there is chaos we will create order. We accomplish this by putting our proven system in place for every business owner to use so they can feel confident and be in control of their finances. Many say the US tax code is broken but we say it’s merely misunderstood and we are changing that perception.
Having integrity means being honest and doing the right thing. The amazing thing about integrity is that it is also consistent and never changing. Having integrity makes it easy to do the right thing because there really isn’t another option. If it is moral, legal, ethical and serves the best interests of our clients and employees then we know it is the right action to take.
The whole reason we started Make Taxes Fair is because we have a desire to be the leaders in Tax Strategy in America and to transform the Tax Services Industry. We do that by serving our fellow business owners and putting them first. The idea of getting ahead by putting others first is counterintuitive to the “Dog Eat Dog” mantra of the world but we know it to be the surest way to success.
Being appreciative is having a mindset of being happy and grateful for what you have. It doesn’t mean that you don’t strive for more or continue to grow and improve. It means that wherever you are in life you see it as a success rather than a failure and simply a stepping stone to get to the next level. Appreciate what you have and you’ll never get stuck looking back with a scowl but instead you’ll be looking forward with a smile and propel yourself to the highest levels of achievement.
There is a reason for everything we do. We like to say we are, “Doing business on purpose”, because it takes focus and drive to achieve your goals. Every move made should be aimed at those goals. Tyler grew up on a small family dairy farm and worked concrete construction for his first job. The manual labor taught him the value of working hard for what you want and also taught him to work smarter. Tyler studied Biotechnology and Chemistry until he fell in love with entrepreneurship.
Nearly 20 years later Tyler is taking his experience in starting and growing companies and combining it with the passion to see other entrepreneurs be successful. Being a business owner himself, he knows how precious every dollar is and that’s why he co-founded Make Taxes Fair to help entrepreneurs keep every dollar of tax money legally possible.

Chris has always loved people and originally planned on a degree in psychology with the desire to help others. It didn’t take long, however, for Chris to discover his talent for accounting and his love of spreadsheets.
Chris got his degree in accounting from Sacramento State University in 2006 and has been on a mission to save business owners from overpaying on taxes ever since.
A tax strategist and educator at heart, Chris fundamentally believes that YOU can do better things with your money than the government and it’s his mission to show you how to do that with legal and ethical means.
